Barbeques Galore (Aust) Pty Limited (ABN 93 001 354 454) and all related companies within its corporate group (we, us, our) is an Australian business specializing in barbeque, outdoor furniture and heating retailing and is bound by the Australia Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). We understand the importance of, and are committed to, protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we manage your personal information (that is, information or an opinion about you, whether true or not, which identifies you or from which your identity is reasonably identifiable), including our obligations and your rights in respect of our dealings with your personal information. 

1. How we collect your personal information

We will collect and hold your personal information in a fair and lawful manner, and not in an intrusive way. Where it is reasonably practical to do so, we will collect your personal information directly from you. We may collect the personal information you directly give us through some of the following means:

  • (a) when you make an inquiry or order in relation to goods or services through our website located at Barbeques Galore | BBQs, Outdoor Furniture and Wood Heaters;
  • (b) when you make an inquiry or order in relation to goods or services through other websites such as eBay and Marketplace;
  • (c) when you make a purchase or inquiry in relation to goods or services at one of our stores;
  • (d) when you complete a Trade Credit Application or Finance Application;

  • (f) when we contact you to confirm delivery details;

  • (h) through any mobile applications provided by our organization;
  • (i) while conducting customer satisfaction and market research surveys;

We use cookies to identify machines and collect aggregate information on website usage. Cookies do not reference specific individuals. Refer to your browser’s manual for cookie settings.

We may engage overseas service providers (e.g., cloud storage). By providing your personal information, you consent to storage on overseas servers. APP 8.1 may not apply to such disclosures.

9. Mobile Applications and Connected Devices

The following applies to our mobile applications (Apps) and connected devices:

(a) Scope of application

Apps generally do not record personal information unless necessary to provide functionality. Location permission may be required for Bluetooth BLE connection. Apps are not directed to children.

(b) Use of information

Information is recorded locally on your phone and not shared or sold to third parties without consent. Unauthorized third-party access is prohibited.

(c) Information disclosure

  • (I) With your prior consent;
  • (II) To provide requested products/services;
  • (III) To comply with legal requirements;
  • (IV) Intellectual property disputes;
  • (V) Other disclosures deemed appropriate by law or policy.

(d) Information storage

Device information is stored on your mobile phone and not uploaded to third-party systems.

(e) Information security

The app has signature security protection. No perfect security exists on the network.

(f) Changes to App Privacy Terms

Updates will be posted within the App, on our website, or other appropriate channels. The company may modify this policy at any time.
